Morning Report: Sheriff’s training academy returns to East L.A.; police looking for City Terrace suspect; Echo Park construction watch

News & Notes:

  • The L.A. County Sheriff has reopened its training academy in East Los Angeles after a $22 million renovation, reports the Daily News. The hilltop Biscailuz Center had been closed for 30 years after the department moved the academy to Whittier.
  • Police are looking for a man who took photos of a boy as he undressed in a City Terrace park restroom, according to CBS 2.
