Morning Report: Silver Lake area shooting victim identified; fire out in Atwater Village; Boyle Heights shul hosts first art show

News & Notes:

  • The victim who was fatally shot outside a Silver Lake area Del Taco on Thursday was identified as 19-year-old Christopher Hernandez.  L.A. Now reports that Hernandez  had gotten into an argument with another man after attending his brother’s graduation ceremony at nearby Thomas Star King Middle School. Police are asking for help in finding the suspects involved in the shooting.
  • The partially restored Breed Street Shul in Boyle Heights is hosting its first art exhibit: “Intersections,”  reports the Jewish Journal. The show ends Sunday.
