1,500 DWP customers without power in Silver Lake

SILVER LAKE —   The Department of Water and Power estimates that about 1,500 customers are without power this afternoon, with full service not expected to be restored until 7 p.m., according to an LADWP spokeswoman.  One resident reports that many shops and homes near Silver Lake Boulevard and Effie Street are without power.

  1. Power is on now. It was an annoying interruption (I know, it’s not their fault) especially a day after receiving a totally crazy DWP bill which I defy anyone to figure out. Seems I am one of many who is caught up in the result of their “stabilization efforts associated with our recent implementation of a new Customer Information System”. A full page printed apology arrived with my bill, which is for Nov-July for electric, and Mar-July for water. They claim to have “successfully addressed the problem” but I will believe that when I see it.
