  • The Boyle Heights breakdancers who used to practice at Mariachi Plaza have found a new home at a nearby school to perfect their skills, reports Boyle Heights Beat. But not all of the dancers are happy to leave Mariachi Plaza and the crowds behind.

    I’m curious if any readers have actually gone to the LAPD museum? What’s it like?

    The linked story (which is remarkably blase coming from a “news” organization) and the museum’s website make it sound about as objective as Richard Nixon’s library. If tax dollars go toward the museum, shouldn’t it at least reflect some of its controversial history (Ramparts division, Parker’s authoritarian ways, etc.)?
