Pickup smashes into Echo Park building

ECHO PARK — A purple pickup truck slammed into the side of a Sunset Boulevard storefront this afternoon, coming to a stop between the building and a lamppost. It’s not clear why the truck ended up on the sidewalk on Sunset Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue  but it did not appear as if anyone was injured. A police officer was talking to a man in the truck when this photo was taken shortly after 3:30 p.m.

  1. That entitled, smug, building should really have been wearing a helmet. Funny how trucks smash into buildings and their drivers never get mentioned.

CAR RIGHTS! CARS BELONG ON THE SIDEWALKS! & and inside buildings.

  3. No, the pic had to be taken before noon. We were having lunch across the street at Miyako and left at around 12:30, and by that time, the truck was off the sidewalk and just one cop was around.
