HIGHLAND PARK — One person suffered superficial wounds to the hands and face from broken glass after a vehicle flipped over  on its side this afternoon in 5500 block of Figueroa Street.  An officer assigned to the case was still at the scene late this afternoon and was not available to provide more information about what caused the roll over in front of the Bank of America.

  1. It is worth mentioning that this block is home to Gil Cedillo’s district office, which is just a few yards away on the corner of Avenue 56 and Figueroa Street. The councilman recently stopped an LADOT plan to do a road diet on this street which, if results across LA and the country are to be believed, would have reduced speeding motorists and prevented more that 1/4 of the crashes (like this) that happen annually on this street.

  2. Good grief what if there were cyclists and pedestrians, could have been another SM farmers market.
