hpSubmitted by The Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council

Candidacies are open to all Stakeholders. A Stakeholder, as explained in the By Laws, is an individual who declares a stake in the neighborhood, lives, works, owns property in the neighborhood, and affirms the factual basis for that stake. HHPNC seeks to fill one recently vacated board seat. Ideal candidates are those that have the drive and desire to represent the neighborhood to City Hall and to make the community a better place. The position is that of At-Large Director on the board.

The Board shall consist of nineteen (19) Stakeholders. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. The Board is elected by community Stakeholders or appointed by the Board. These are none-paid volunteer positions.

The selection process will take place as follows:

  • Open application period begins Friday, September 5, 2014.
  • All interested applicants must complete the online application at http://tinyurl.com/hhpnc-seat-September5th2014 or at highlandparknc.com
  • Closing date for applications will be September 25, 2014.
