Bulletin Board: Tell Your True Tale work shop in East Los Angeles

Submitted by Sam Quinones

Journalist and author Sam Quinones, formerly of the LA Times, will be offering his four-week Tell Your True Tale writing workshop, free of charge at East LA Public Library.

The workshops are designed to get people with an interest in writing over the obstacles that keep them from doing so by working on a story from their lives, or the life of someone they know. We will focus on storytelling, interviewing, constructing the best story, on finding the details crucial to any story, and finding also the energy and excitement that the writing process is all about.

This is the second workshop Mr. Quinones has done at the library. The first resulted in a book of stories authors developed. Tell Your True Tale: East Los Angeles is available for sale on Amazon.com.

Experience is not necessary, nor is residence in East LA, But desire is. As space is limited, please register in advance at; http://www.colapublib.org/tytt/index.php

To see stories already written out of previous workshops, go to www.samquinones.com and clink on the link to TELL YOUR TRUE TALE.

Any questions, email Sam Quinones at [email protected]
