  • Live music will resume at the Eagle Rock Farmers’ Market several months after complaints by a resident – a woman who said the noise was disturbing her child’s afternoon nap – silenced the music.  Officials determined that the music could be played since the market is held on city property. 1. Those damn hipsters who don’t say hello as they pass you on the sidewalk need to stop stabbing people in front of Von’s! This is all gentrification’s fault!

  2. I think that is the shirtless man who walks all around
    Echo Park acting crazy.

  3. The man who got stabbed is a fixture in the area. Emotionally unstable and violent, he has been in and out of jail. He was living in an empty lot across from Vons near the Post Office. He could be seen kicking cars, shopping carts, screaming at people, standing in the entryway of Rite-Aid and intimidating customers.

It is likely that he angered the wrong person in this case and someone finally retaliated against him. Hopefully they’ll get him on some meds to regulate his moods?

    • I’m wondering whether this is the fairly strong-looking guy who I encountered when driving down Liberty St. next to Vons around a month ago, when there still was a homeless encampment there. He was yelling at a woman and her child who were about to cross Liberty; a lot of people told him to knock it off. He was shirtless and was swinging a jacket around — he brought it down on the hood of my car. (Since the hood was filthy, more damage was done to the jacket than to the car.)

A number of homeless people hang out near the Post Office or on Glendale, but most of them are friendly and peaceful. This guy was something else entirely.

  4. Hahaha . Got caught slippn
U better run when you see me on street
    Muthafuka . Pinche huerros

  5. Is it certain that it was that crazy, shirtless man that was stabbed or is this just a case of wishful gossiping?? Does this man have a name?
