  • Residents of East Los Angeles and other  unincorporated sections of Los Angeles County should  see more Sheriff patrols after County Supervisors agreed to hire more deputies. L.A Now
  • Silver Lake’s Jill Soloway is getting a lot of attention and praise for Transparent, a new Amazon Prime series about a transgender retired professor.  “This is the best thing I’ve seen on TV–even if it’s not ‘on TV’– this year,” said Time’s magazine reviewer.
