On the Agenda: Eagle Rock’s night life; Glassellland wants love; Silver Lake Reservoir’s birthday party

On The Agenda

Does Eagle Rock need a night life? Will the “GLASSELLLAND” sign return to a Glassell Park hillside? How to celebrate the Silver Lake Reservoir’s 110th birthday?  These are some of the questions and issues coming up at this week’s round of neighborhood meetings.

Before You Go: It’s a good idea to check with organizations to find out if meeting items and times have been changed or postponed.

Eagle Rock

  • City Planning is holding an open house and public hearing  about making changes to the Colorado Boulevard Specific Plan, including an amendment that would allow new restaurants, bars and other businesses to stay open beyond 9 p.m.  This will be the community’s opportunity to make any comments or concerns to the administrative records. Wednesday, November 19.

Glassell Park

  • Several properties are on the Glassell Park Neighborhood Council’s radar for either possible motions and/or letters of support. They include: An empty lot at 3406 N. The Paseo; a potential 10-unit, small lot development at 3363 N. Andrita Street; a transit shelter; the “GLASSELLLAND” sign and a letter of support for Eagle Rock Brewery. Tuesday, November 18.

Silver Lake

  • A meeting of  Silver Lake Neighborhood Council   committees will consider spending $2,000 on an art installation that would be part of the festivities planned to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Silver Lake Reservoir.  Monday, November 17.
