  • Concert promoter Live Nation brings the indie music scene  to Club Bahia, the Latin dance club on the edge of Echo Park. L.A. Weekly
  • The list of candidates certified to run in next year’s municipal elections includes 14 candidates running to replace termed-out Councilman Tom LaBonge, who represents Council District 4;   José Huizar, who represents Council District 14, will face four candidates as he seeks reelection. L.A. City Clerk
  • Detour Ahead: Sunset Boulevard will be closed this morning and afternoon for the Echo Park Community Parade. Metro will be rerouting buses most of the day.

  1. Club Bahia goes Indy. Well, that sure didn’t sit well with the neighbors near Los Globos. Let’s hope this promoter can be respectful and hire security to keep it all under control.
