On The Agenda: Glassell Park wants more police presence; call for artists in El Sereno; Lincoln Heights murder reward

With the holidays fast approaching, public meetings are becoming scarce as officials  take an early vacation.  But in Glassell Park, residents are requesting more police patrols  and one councilman wants to declare one week in January as Homeless Count Week.

Glassell Park

  • The Glassell Park Neighborhood Council  is requesting more police patrols in areas where residents are reporting illegal activities. The council also wants Councilman Gil Cedillo to repair the electronic marquee outside the Glassell Park Community and Senior Center. Also a number of properties will either receive a letter of support or denial in regards to economic or land use proposals. Tuesday, December 16.

Lincoln Heights

  • 1st District Councilman Gil Cedillo has requested that the City Council reinstate the reward offer in the unsolved murder of Bree’anna Guzman from Lincoln Heights. Tuesday, December 16.

El Sereno

Other News:

  • Councilman  Jose Huizar wants the City Council to  declare January 27-29, as Homeless Count Week 2015. Tuesday, December 16.
