ECHO PARK — Bands, drills teams, horses, politicians, classic cars, more drill teams  and Santa – the Echo Park Community Parade had a little something for everybody as it made its way down Sunset Boulevard today  through the heart of the neighborhood’s commercial district. If you were not able to go, someone you know probably Tweeted about it or uploaded a photo to Instagram. Here’s a sampling:

  1. Great parade! Tons of talented young people. Just what Echo Park needed for the holidays. Afterwards, did some shopping at the local stores.

  2. The parade gets better every year! The krampuses (krampi?) were a big hit. Wasn’t sure how people would react to them!

Thanks to the organizers and participants!

    • Krampus Los Angeles was a tremedous success. A bit of European folklore, and I loved the steam car. Hope to see them again next year.

  3. Surprisingly good parade! It put the focus on the local, on the community, and yet reached beyond… much like Echo Park itself. The kids were inspiring too, and the politicians’ speeches were short. Eastsider, care to comment about the Grand Marshal and perfecting the art of the royal wave?

  4. they really could publicize this parade more… maybe with a banner that stretches above the cars over Sunset Blvd?
