Eagle Rock mall security guard attacked; pro-Huizar billboards have permit problems; struggling to stand out in the Council District 4 race

  • A security guard at the Eagle Rock Plaza suffered a minor injury early this morning after he was attacked by a burglar coming out of the Macy’s department store. KTLA
  • Some of the 100 billboards that Lamar advertising is using to support Councilman Jose Huizar’s re-election bid have either no city permit or other “outstanding permit issues.” Huizar is in charge of a City Council committee studying whether to legalize more than 900 billboards – including hundreds of Lamar signs – without permits or related problems.
