On the Agenda: Townhomes for Highland Park; possible Northeast L.A. Riverfront District; more cellular towers

On The Agenda

Another week, another round of items on the agenda. There are proposals for more cellular towers in Glassell Park and more Highland Park town houses on the Avenues.  Jose Huizar of Council District 14 is requesting more funds for beautification and there might be a possible Northeast L.A. Riverfront District.

Lincoln Heights

Glassell Park & Highland Park

The East L.A. Planning Commission will review  appeals of proposed  cell phone  antenna towers  at 3030 N. Roswell Street and 3721 N. Marmion Way.  Wednesday, January 14.

Eagle Rock

Councilmember Jose Huizar is requesting additional funding to finance the beautification of his district (Eagle Rock, Boyle Heights, El Sereno) to the tune of $45,000. Wednesday, January 14.

Riverfront District

There will be a presentation on the possibility of a possible Northeast Los Angeles Riverfront District as part of the Northeast Los Angeles River Collaborative. Probably in the early stages. Monday, January 11. (Item 10)

Highland Park

Representatives of 29 for-sale town homes at 118 Avenue 50/4968-4984 N. Figueroa Street will seek some feedback from  the board of the Highland Park-Garvanza Historic Preservation Overlay Zone. Also, a few requests for the removal of stucco, new front yard fence and parking apron enlargement at the board meeting. Tuesday, January 13.
