Police pursuit ends in Silver Lake [updated @ 7:50 p.m.]

SILVER LAKE – The police pursuit of a stolen pickup truck that began in Highland Park and passed through Downtown L.A. and Echo Park came to an end in Silver Lake tonight.

The pursuit ended at about 7:30 p.m. near Bellevue and Hoover after a 20-minute chase, with two persons emerging from the white truck and surrendering to police, according to aerial video from NBC LA.

Police chased the truck over several major streets – including Figueroa, Alvarado and Sunset – as well as on the congested 110 Freeway. At one point the driver headed the wrong way in a section of downtown.

  3. You can’t blame these guys for stealing a car when you just got your new State approved drivers license. It’s just too much temptation to only partially break the law.
