Two hours? Three hours? The reopening tonight of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Hollyhock House has drawn huge crowds to Barnsdall Art Park, where the landmark home will remain open for 24 hours to celebrate the completion of a $4.75 million renovation.
EAGLE ROCK – An elderly woman was in grave condition tonight following a fire in an Eagle Rock apartment, according to the L.A Fire Department. The fire broke out shortly after 8 p.m. in a three-story apartment building in the 1500 block of Yosemite Drive
ECHO PARK -- A fire fanned by strong winds this afternoon spread from a bungalow to a two-story apartment building next door before it was brought under control by firefighters. No one was injured in the blaze in the 300 block of Belmont Avenue, according to an LAFD battalion chief on the scene.

SILVER LAKE -- A new barbecue spot, Charcoal, on Hyperion Avenue is seeking to be the pitmaster of Silver Lake, reports EaterLA. It replaces the old Lago D'argento Pizzeria and opened this week. Charcoal touts itself as a modern Kansas City style of barbecue, with chef Jeremy Zimmerman in charge of a 1,700-pounds smoker.

ECHO PARK -- An armed man held up a 7-Eleven last night, making off with about $400 in cash while customers were inside the Glendale Boulevard convenience store, police said. The robbery took place just before midnight, said Detective Joe Rios with the Northeast Division.
