Cypress Park crash shears off fire hydrant

CYPRESS PARK — One man was transported to a hospital tonight after a vehicle crashed into a power pole and fire hydrant, sending a gusher of water into the air.

LAFD reported that electrical wires were down and there was some street flooding near the 2600 block of N. Roseview Avenue following the collision, which took place at about 10 p.m.

  1. The guy faces no charges. Once he’s healed up I bet he’ll be back out driving around town. Scary.
