Lost in Atwater Village: Friendly gray cat [updated

eastside animals button small

Our cat Din ran away from the vet parking lot this morning, and we would love it if you can keep your eyes peeled for any sign of him. He is all gray with yellow eyes, faint rings on his tail, approx. 12 lbs. He has a somewhat unusually long body and paws. He is an indoor/outdoor cat, and is friendly but may be hard to catch. Din is microchipped and not wearing a collar.

He was last seen running southwest on Arden Ave towards Pacific, just north of the 134. We are hoping he will make it across the freeway (at night?) and south back in the direction of our house, which is in the 3200 block of Atwater Ave.

Please let us know if you think you see a cat matching this description. He does look like a lot of feral cats in the neighborhood, a few of which we feed regularly). Any suggestions appreciated, we will be putting up flyers later today and have put out an alert on the home again network.

Update: Vin has been found!

  1. I have good news to report, Din is back safely at home! The vet put out a trap and last night they caught him 🙂 Thanks to everyone for their support.
