Police pursuit ends in Highland Park

Highland Park – Police apprehended two suspects tonight following a pursuit that began in Echo Park and ended near Monte Vista Street and Avenue 61, where one of the suspects was Tasered by police as TV helicopters recorded the scene from overhead.

There were conflicting reports as to what prompted the chase, with ABC 7 saying the driver was wanted for reckless driving while another station said the suspects may have been involved in a recent shooting.

  1. bye bye dorks

  2. If it’s gang related, does it make sense for the HHPNC to consider a motion to lift the gang injunction? HP has had a few too many gang shootings for this to even be a consideration! Keep the gang injunction in place and enforce it!

I got that HHPNC email too. Not sure which injunction they were talking about as there are three gang injunctions in Highland Park.

The reasons the NHC listed for lifting the injunction were completely devoid of any logic and seemed to enable the gangsters.

As for the story, glad those two losers are off the streets. Good work LAPD.
