  1. There is something about Glendale that even the most adventurous of hipsters cannot seem to crack. I’m hipster-friendly, but know no hipsters who live there, only couples with kids. The dearth of hipsters could be considered weird, because parts of Glendale are the midpoint between Atwater on the west, and Highland Park on the east.

  2. Just FYI, the past tense of lead is spelled led.

  3. I am nauseated by the following words: 1) Hipster, 2) Cool, 3) Artist. I avoid Silver Lake because those folks are constantly reminding us how hip, how cool, and how artistic they are, simply because they:

    a) packed up from some other town and moved to 90026,
    b) took on the look of an indie rocker/junkie,
    c) slapped a hideous tattoo on their breasts, arms, shoulders, and back side,
    d) proclaim they’ve been Iggy Pop fans their whole lives,
    e) grow a beard or date a pussy who could grow one,
    f) hang out with dirty bikers with bad teeth, wrinkled middle-aged burlesque dancers that NO ONE wants to see naked, meth heads and meth dealers,
    g) have learned a craft that they have the unchecked audacity to classify as art.
