Highland Park middle school celebrates a revival

HIGHLAND PARK — It was only a few years ago when L.A. Unified launched a top-to-bottom shake up of Luther Burbank Middle School amid eroding academic performance. Since then, the school’s test scores have jumped and it was recently recognized as a role model for high-performing middle schools.
