Will the Arroyo Seco flow back to life?

While the L.A. River is poised for a billion-dollar restoration, the nearby Arroyo Seco seems almost forgotten as it runs down a narrow slit along the 110 Freeway through Northeast L.A. But a feasibility study now underway may eventually lead to a restoration of the Arroyo Seco as well.

Atwater gentlemen still waiting for oil-damaged strip club to reopen

ATWATER VILLAGE — It’s been a year since the “most seductively beautiful women from all over the world” took off their clothes and put on a show at The Gentlemen’s Club. The strip club in the industrial north end of Atwater has remained shut down since it was doused in crude oil after a pipeline ruptured next door, according to KPCC.
