Bulletin Board: Animal Fest 2015 seeks to make Northeast L.A. a safer place for animals

Animal Fest 2015 | Make Northeast LA a Safer Place for Animals

Submitted by Miry

We were able to save an abandoned dog named Onyx from a shelter and find him a new home here in Eagle Rock. This was the inspiration for Animal Fest.

Join us June 20 11 am – 2 pm at Eagle Rock City Hall to make northeast LA a safer place for animals of all shapes and sizes. We’ve partnered with local rescues and experts to offer northeast LA facts on creating a safe environment for people and animals in the home and in the community.

Local experts, including a veterinarian, animal rescue officer, leading dog obedience trainer, and others, will host a series of 15-minute panels on topics relevant to our 2 and 4-legged neighbors and those who love them, including:

– Leash walking safety class for kids

– Summer health risks for dogs and cats

– What to do if you find a snake in your home or yard

– Latest research on dog and cat dietary health

– Emergency preparedness for pets

Final schedule will be released on our FB event page.

This is a free event and open to all ages.
