LAFD knocks down Lincoln Heights fire [updated @ 6:21 pm]

LINCOLN HEIGHTS — Firefighters are battling a blaze late this afternoon that has apparently spread to a few structures in the 2300 block of Hancock Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Update: The fire was knocked down after about 20 minutes, the LAFD reported at 6:18 p.m. There were no reports of injury, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. L.A. Now reported that the fire started at the back of a property and 2344 Hancock and spread to a neighboring home.
