Rescue crews were mobilized this morning after a car was found in the L.A. River under the 2 Freeway near Elysian Valley. But rescuers found no passengers inside or persons nearby. The only thing to do was to wait until the vehicle was towed out of the water by a heavy-duty L.A. Fire Department truck and then dragged up the concrete embankment.  Anthea Raymond took shots of the scene.

  1. Whoooaaaa! Keep us updated. So weird.

  2. This AM on our usual morning walk on the River path, we saw a small truck that was not the usual kind as in the LA Conservation Corp, MRCA or Flat Iron driving on the path? they seemed out of place?

  3. This is why we need a river diet. Install kayak lanes now, before someone gets killed by these crazy motorists.

  4. Ohhh…I wanna know more about “Heavy Rescue!”
