Prepare to stop, again

Man crossing at Academy Road at new stop sign in Echo Park

One of the new stop signs on Academy Road

ECHO PARK – More stops signs have been installed on Academy Road and Scott Avenue to provide a safer crossing for pedestrians using the fire roads and trails from Elysian Park.  The signs were installed a few months after stop signs were put up nearby at Academy Road and Morton Avenue.

Pedestrians and motorists are still getting used to the newest stops signs judging by the number of vehicles – and arriving and departing Dodger fans – that are still driving past the new signs.
