  1. When I first heard about the dognapping and distraught owner I was enraged that
    anyone would do such a thing. But then I saw photos/(and/or videos?) of the “reunited” dog, and I
    was surprised at how apprehensive it looked. I thought, “that dog is not glad to be
    back with its “owner.” This was before I heard about the claims of the ladies who
    took it. However, in view of the dog’s obvious distress at its return, I tend to believe them.
