Submitted by he Klub Gymnastics

The Klub Gymnastics, a Silver Lake based gymnastics center, held a kartwheel-a-thon to benefit The Special Olympics World Games. Students at The Klub were pledged amounts per cartwheel that they could complete in five minutes. The initial goal was to raise $2500, the amount needed to sponsor one athlete. We exceeded our goal and raised over $13,000, allowing us to sponsor five athletes! The athletes sponsored are from Costa Rica, Uruguay, Hong Kong, and Italy. The students will be cheering them on at The World Games July 25 – August 2nd here in Los Angeles.
