Vartan Abgaryan, executive chef of Cliff’s Edge for the past two and a half years, recently announced that he is leaving his position at the signature Silver Lake dining destination to become chef and partner of 71Above, a new restaurant located on the seventy-first floor of the US Bank Tower in DTLA, the Los Angeles Times reports. Although the 33-year-old is taking his career to seriously new heights, Abgaryan is not leaving Cliff’s Edge anytime soon since he plans to stay on board through October. 71Above is scheduled to open in spring 2016.
