Taco Fest says adios to Boyle Heights; Silver Lake’s The Kitchen and Sqirl Kitchen makes the lists; Eagle Rock Jollibee reopens


Boyle Heights is no longer home to the L.A. Taco Festival, Boyle Heights Beat reports. The free annual fundraiser for the nonprofit that helps homeless youth, Jóvenes, Inc., originally sprouted four years ago in and around Mariachi Plaza. Downtown developer pays $18 million for Echo Park church properties

MORNING REPORT: Two LADWP workers in Highland Park were credited for saving the life of a man they found unconscious behind the steering wheel of a parked car .... A group of parents said their children at King Middle School in Los Feliz were sent home on the first day of school because they had not been given the required immunizations ....
