Buyers Eager For First Move-ins At RiverPark

Anticipation is keen as buyers prepare for initial move-ins at RiverPark, LA Urban Homes’ new for-sale community situated along the scenic Los Angeles River in Taylor Yard Village. Conveniently located in Cypress Park, the innovative, transit-oriented master plan was developed through a public-private joint development with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

For Tira and David Franco — two professionals with young children — RiverPark fits their scenario perfectly. “We were elated to find such a high-caliber residence, in the perfect location, that feels safe and is within our budget,” says David, a management consultant who currently commutes over an hour each way to downtown Los Angeles. “I’m looking forward to being so close to work!”

The Francos looked at resale and new homes for six months. “We were in escrow on a resale that seemed perfect,” notes Tira, a real estate agent  who will also be close to her office in the nearby Larchmont district, “but the inspection showed that major systems required nearly $100,000 in upgrades. RiverPark homes are already equipped with the most modern and energy-saving systems — and it would have cost thousands more to achieve their open-concept design and top-of-the-line finishes. We also love that the flex space is so livable — we’re enclosing it to use as a guest suite.”

The walkable access to the 40-acre Rio de Los Angeles State Park is also a great advantage. “With so many family-oriented activities, we now spend most of our leisure time there,” raves David. “The upcoming river upgrades are definitely a plus, but honestly, the park alone is reason enough to purchase here. RiverPark is a dream come true!”

For Jan Hoffmann, a work-from-home professional and first-time buyer, the choice was clear. Although she and her boyfriend had not shopped extensively, once they experienced RiverPark — they were sold. “Our family had already recommended the builder,” says Hoffmann, “but when we saw the lifestyle that RiverPark provides, we knew we had found our first home.”

The couple is overjoyed to be part of the area’s planned transformation into a major recreation destination. “We are excited about living along the river and watching this landmark flourish,” notes Hoffmann. She also loves the home’s open design and the main-floor flex space, which she’ll use as her office.

The first phase of homes at RiverPark is already more than 80% sold, and additional new homes in the second phase are now available. RiverPark features contemporary 3–4 bedroom/3-bath single-family detached and duplex homes, with up to 2,000 square feet. Current pricing is from the high $500,000s and is expected to rise in future phases.

Located at 1545 N. San Fernando Road — between the 2 and 110 Freeways and just north of the 5 Freeway — the furnished models are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, and are best reached from Arvia Street. For more info please visit LiveRiverPark.com.
