Elderly man killed in Mount Washington fire

MOUNT WASHINGTON —  The body of a 71-year-old man was found inside a car parked in a garage that caught fire early this morning in  the 1800 block of Alder Drive, according to the L.A. Fire Department.

It took firefighters about half an hour to knock down the blaze, which was reported at about 3:25 a.m. No further information, including the cause of the fire and the man’s identity, were avaialble.
