The Friends of Micheltorena (FOM) has kicked off the first day of the Annual Fall Pledge Drive for Micheltorena Elementary School in Silver Lake. Last year FOM raised over $100,000, up from $50,000 the previous year, and this year we have a goal to raise $100,000 in the next 6 weeks.

FOM fundraising efforts have transformed Micheltorena Elementary School into a dynamic and progressive educational center that fosters creativity, community and diversity.

What you can do for your local community:

  • Donate $$$ – Every dollar counts, and no contribution is too small. Friends of Micheltorena operate as a tax-exempt, non-profit group as a project of Community Partners.
  • Donate services and goods – We are always looking for local community members to donate services and goods – a great way to raise awareness for your business amongst Silver Lake community.
  • Sponsor a Banner! –Micheltorena Elementary School Banners are located on prime walking real estate on Sunset Boulevard minutes from Sunset Junction, adjacent to the Silver Lake Triangle. The cost to sponsor a banner is $1,200 for one year.
