Pickup truck smashes into York Boulevard cafe

HIGHLAND PARK — A hit-and-run driver smashed into the Highland Cafe early this morning, with passersby watching as the pickup backed out of the damaged cafe and fled down York Boulevard, reports ABC7.  No one was injured, according the cafe’s Instagram account.

Last night’s hit-and-run on York comes one week after a 51-year-old woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Figueroa Street.

  1. Drink Drank Drunk. This knuckle head wont be hard to find unless they’re already back in the MX.

  2. Hehehe if you look closely, it looks like the guy in the cab has a “to go” container on his lap.

  3. I blame the bicyclists. The driver was stuck behind one and thought that was a shortcut. He didn’t stop because he was angry about gentrification.

  4. If he had pulled this crap just a few stores down at Block Party it would’ve been pretty catastrophic since the bar opens right onto the sidewalk.
