Car slams into East L.A. area yogurt shop; thieves go “fishing” for mail in Eagle Rock

  1. Well, the news that thieves are using devises with sticky stuff on them to pull out the mail in Eagle Rock is not a surprise.
    The mail thieves in Silver Lake have been doing this for over a year and instead of continuing to “fish” for loot they resorted to stealing the whole box full of mail at the corner of Berkeley and Murray Drive. The neighbor on that corner had heard noises in the middle of the night on October the 12th and the next day noticed that the box was gone. He called the post office for an explanation and found out that two other boxes had also been stolen. I guess we should just forget about putting anything in these boxes! Take all of your mail into the post office or hand it to your mail carrier.
