Lights out in Atwater Village and Eagle Rock [updated]

wFwKJqS4More than 2,200 LADWP customers in Atwater Village and Eagle Rock  are without power tonight, with service not expected to be fully restored until 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

In Atwater Village, 1,578 customers have lost electrical service, according to LADWP spokesman Albert Rodriguez.  It’s not clear what caused the outage but one resident said that power went out at about 5 pm.

Meanwhile, in Eagle Rock, 714 customers are without service as a result of downed wires, Rodriguez said.

    Power just went out in Garvanza 90042 at 12:30am. Went out once and heard a loud buzz from a few blocks away. Came back on and then happened again less than a minute later. Still out now. Something happen trying to fix the earlier outage? Ugh.
