Man found dead in Debs Park

HERMON — The body of a 62-year-old man was found in Debs Park near Monterey Road after he apparently died from natural causes, officials today. The man’s death is not connected to last week’s double murder of Gabriela Calzada and Briana Gallegos, whose bodies were found in a different section of the park near the Rose Hills section of El Sereno, said said Sgt. Michael Morriseau with the LAPD Hollenbeck Division. “It’s totally unrelated to the homicides.”

The man was described as a while male transient, according to a Facebook post by the Highland Park neighborhood council.  No information was available as to when the man’s body was found.
