A busy holiday season for burglars and car thieves

The year-end finds several clusters of burglaries as well as motor vehicle break-ins and thefts from Silver Lake to East Los Angeles. Here are some of the hot spots reported by CrimeMapping.com between Dec. 3  and Dec. 9:

ATWATER VILLAGE —  Four burglaries, three of them near Los Feliz Boulevard, and one motor-vehicle break-in were reported, according to CrimeMapping.com.

EAGLE ROCK & HIGHLAND PARK – The blocks north of York Boulevard have been hit by vehicle thieves, with at least four vehicles reported stolen, according to CrimeMapping.com. Meanwhile, south of York,  there have been two burglaries reported near Franklin High School.

EAST LOS ANGELES – At least seven motor vehicles were stolen, with the majority being located between Whittier and Beverly Boulevards, according to CrimeMapping.com.

ECHO PARK & SILVER LAKE – At least seven burglaries and more than a dozen vehicle break-ins and theft from motor vehicles were reported during the past week, according to CrimeMapping.com. In addition, more than half a dozen vehicles were stolen.
