The Eastside Arts Initiative (EAI) invites arts related non-profit organizations to apply for an EAI competitive grant for new and innovative initiatives benefiting the greater eastern Los Angeles County area. The deadline is May 16, 2016.
EAI is a grant-making program in partnership with LA Plaza and the California Community Foundation (CCF) that supports new and innovative arts initiatives for furthering the arts in the greater eastern part of Los Angeles County.
Fall 2015 grantees included: Center for the Arts Eagle Rock-multidisciplinary artist workshops and performances; About Productions-Young Theatre Works Chicano Legacy Project; Los Angeles Music and Art School-tuition-free symphony and choirs programs; Los Angeles Theatre Academy-Cri-Cri the Musical; Brown Fist Productions-Eastside Heartbeats; Loyola Marymount University-“Variedades” Olvera Street Project; Mariachi National’s Institute-intensive instruction in mariachi music and performances; UNAM-LA, HOLA Mexico Film Festival-“Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today”; and Wayne Healy-“Trucha! Vital Decisions Ahead” community mural project.
