Injured kidnapping victim dropped off near Boyle Heights hospital

BOYLE HEIGHTS — A woman who had been shot in the leg while being held captive overnight was dropped off early this morning near L.A. County-USC Medical Center, police said.

The female, in her 30s, was kidnapped last night in Downey, said Sgt. Barragan of the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division. She was shot in the leg by one of her captors and is now being treated at the hospital.

The kidnapping is being investigated by the Downey Police Department.
