Massive Boyle Heights fire lights up night sky

BOYLE HEIGHTS — More than 100 firefighters tonight are battling a raging fire that broke out in a commercial building near Soto Street and Pico Boulevard.

A portion of the approximately 700-foot by 100-foot building has collapsed but firefighters are “getting a good handle on the inferno,” according to an L.A. Fire Department update at 8:40 p.m.
