The 6th annual Taste of the Eastside food festival serves it up at the L.A. River Center and Gardens in Cypress Park, with more than 30 restaurants as well as food specialists in attendance. Silver Ochre is created by artists who travel the lower 48 states, gathering video and sound, screening the results as they go, while adding new footage at each stop; their next stop is Silver Lake. The Floricanto Center for the Performing Arts in East L.A. celebrates its 2nd annual Dia del Niño, with the Kawalea Polynesian Children’s Dance Group, the children of Kayamanan Ng Lahi, Tierra Blanca and the Lula Washington Youth Dance Ensemble.
