  • Councilman Mitch O’Farrell has proposed using $1.9 million in unused redevelopment funds to restore a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed guest house that was part of a compound that included the Hollyhock House at Barnsdall Park.. The entire project is expected to cost $3.2 million. Curbed

  1. That massive Peter Shire sculpture in the photo is a tagged up mess. A total mess.

  2. Taggers are such cockroaches. What a bummer.

  3. That photo looks to be pretty old. Those bushes growing in front of the sculpture have now grown so tall they completely block the view – Rec and Parks does just about nothing to maintain the site.

    Peter Shire has pretty much a lifetime income from that as the city pays him a pretty good amount every month to go up and paint out the graffiti. So I suppose the taggers are simply looking out for his best interests. Otherwise that money would have to go to help other things in the park.
