Shopper & Diner: Clay-pot Mexican coffee stirs up El Sereno; brunch is on at Frogtown’s Wax Paper Co.; Silver Lake’s stellar sandals

El Sereno just landed a new coffee house named Cafecito, Eater LA reports. This coffee house sets itself apart from the fancy coffee spots that have sprouted around the Eastside and brings a humble Latin-inspired charm of enjoying a cafecito with a friend in the backyard.

Enjoy your cafecito de olla (coffee made in a clay pot) with an empanada, torta or churro. Cafecito is located in the 4700 block of Huntington Drive in El Sereno.
