A new place where Echo Park dogs can get fit, have fun and throw a party

The Dog Yard recently opened in Echo Park

Storefront Report

ECHO PARK — What’s the big space that’s opened up next to Blue Collar Working Dog on Glendale Boulevard? It’s the pet shop’s latest addition, known as The Dog Yard.

The spacious 5,000-square-foot facility is a spot for dogs and their handlers to train, learn, play and get fit. As part of its soft opening, discounted rates are available for the first few months. More classes and events will soon be scheduled.

If you and your pet want to celebrate their new training and fitness regimen, The Dog Yard will  host parties for up to 15 dogs and 35 humans for between $200 to $300. You and your pet must bring your own music, however.

Expect a grand opening party this summer.
