Tracy Do has been helping Eastsiders sell and purchase real estate since 2002, and for consecutive years has closed more successful transactions than anyone else in the area. In recent weeks Tracy has been interviewed by the L.A. Times and US News & World Report, sharing her insights and expertise on our local marketplace.
Q: The Eastside continues to grow in popularity, with more and more people looking to call it home. Any particular reason why?
A: Many people have only recently discovered Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, and they’re falling in love. Some of it has to do with our location, because you’re not only close to other great Eastside communities, but also to Pasadena, Glendale and Downtown LA, which is more appealing today than ever before.
Q: Let’s say I’m ready to sell. What’s the first thing I should do?
A: Find the best possible partner to assist you. When my clients are ready to sell their home, the first thing I do is sit with them to listen to their goals and needs. From there we prepare a plan. Then there’s pricing, which should neither be too high or too low. Pricing is an art. Let’s get it right the first time and earn you the highest possible amount for your most valuable asset.
Q: As Eastside housing prices continue to rise it can be tough out there, especially for first-time buyers. What are their options?
A: L.A. is huge and there are still many neighborhoods flying below the radar. Over a decade ago, when clients were getting priced out of Silver Lake and Los Feliz, I introduced them to Highland Park. Now there are new frontiers which my team and I are showing to buyers where homes are more affordable and the future is bright.
