Boyle Heights argument ends with shooting

BOYLE HEIGHTS — An argument in Boyle Heights led to the shooting of one man Wednesday night.

The victim, a Latino male in his 20s, was approached by the suspect at about 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of Mirasol Street. There was an argument, and the suspect shot the victim as he was trying to get away, said Officer Liliana Preciado with LAPD’s media relations department.

The victim was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition.

The officer said the incident was not gang related. The suspect, a Latino male in his 40s, is still at large.
