Eastside Weekend: Family-friendly open mic in Echo Park; less family-friendly Club LUSH in Lincoln Heights & burlesque in E. Hollywood

It’s open mic night at the InsideOut Church Basement in Echo Park — possibly offering poetry, dance, music and “dictionary skills.” In Lincoln Heights, the bi-yearly Club LUSH! features a music mix of “’70s porno soundtracks, ’50s Italian twist, ’60s go-go stomps, Euro-frug, filmic funk jams” and more. Sultry Sweet Burlesque — on the edge of East Hollywood — presents their Memorial Day Weekend tribute, “Red, White & Boobs.”
